Where all liposuction can be done?

Liposuction can be done for disproportionate fat in almost all the areas of body. Various techniques are used in different areas like Suction Assisted liposuction (SAL), Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction (UAL), Power Assisted Lipostion (PAL) or Laser Assisted liposuction (LAL). What is the downtime for the procedure?

Depends upon the volume of fat removed and the type of procedure done. Most of the times patients are discharged same day or the next day. Patients can join their routine activities 2-3 days after the surgery. However patients are required to wear pressure garments for next few weeks.

Any major side effects?

Some swelling and bruising is expected after the procedure. However when executed well the procedure brings excellent results with minimal side effects. Best results are seen about 6 months from the procedure. Otherwise liposuction is safe provided it is done by a properly trained professional.
